Social Worker - Fostering Team (Dudley)

Dudley Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our Fostering Team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children in care and the foster families who provide them with loving homes.

About the Role:

Conduct thorough assessments of prospective foster carers, ensuring they meet the required standards.
Provide ongoing support and supervision to approved foster carers, offering guidance and mentorship.
Work collaboratively with foster carers, children, and birth families to develop and implement effective care plans.
Manage a caseload of foster families, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practice.
Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment dedicated to fostering excellence.

Requirements:

Registered with Social Care England.
Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience as a qualified Social Worker. Experience working with foster carers or within fostering services is highly desirable.
Excellent communication, assessment, and case management skills.
Strong understanding of fostering legislation, policies, and procedures.
Ability to build rapport and trust with foster carers and children.
Commitment to person-centered practice and ethical standards.
