Tech Lead - Contract - £525 /day - Bristol / South West (Hybrid)

We're looking for an experienced Tech Lead to join a high-performing team on a long-term contract, running until December 2026 (with potential extension to April 2027). This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll guide a team of 7 engineers through complex technical challenges, shaping both delivery and culture.

Location: South West / Bristol (onsite once every other week)

Rate: £525/day (Inside IR35)

Clearance: Basic SC Clearance required

The Role

As Tech Lead, you'll:

• Provide technical direction and mentorship, helping the team break down complex challenges into achievable tasks.
• Drive continuous improvements across processes, system documentation, and developer experience.
• Deliver clear and constructive feedback to foster team and individual growth.
• Promote a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance culture.
• Remain hands-on technically, ensuring strong decisions are made and delivered effectively.

Key Skills

We're looking for someone with strong leadership skills and experience in modern software engineering. The ideal background includes:

• Node.js, ReactJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, npm
• AWS, Jenkins, Terraform, PostgreSQL
