Role overview
Our client is looking for a forward-thinking IT Solutions Architect to join a dynamic technology team supporting digital transformation across the utilities sector. This role will focus on designing scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions across Azure cloud and infrastructure platforms, with the opportunity to influence enterprise architecture and drive innovation.

Your new role

• Design and deliver end-to-end IT solutions across cloud, infrastructure, and integration layers
• Lead architecture efforts for Azure-based platforms, ensuring alignment with business and security requirements
• Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, operations, and business units to translate requirements into technical designs
• Define infrastructure blueprints, integration patterns, and deployment strategies for enterprise-scale systems
• Provide architectural governance and technical leadership across project lifecycles.
• Support digital initiatives within the utilities' domain, including smart metering, asset management, and customer platforms
• Contribute to cloud migration strategies and infrastructure modernisation roadmaps

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect in enterprise IT environments
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, networking, identity, security)
• Solid background in infrastructure architecture, including hybrid and on-premise environments
• Experience working in or with the utilities sector (energy, water, telecoms, etc.)
• Familiarity with Salesforce architecture and integration is a plus.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Relevant certifications (e.g. Azure Solutions Architect Expert, TOGAF)

What you'll get in return

• 6-Month Contract
• £800 - 875 per day rate inside IR35 (via Umbrella)
• Hybrid work available
