Solution Architect (BASIS, Networking & Security)

• Farringdon, London – 3 days per week on-site
• £700-£725 per day via Umbrella

We are currently seeking an experienced Solution Architect to work on a transformative migration project from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA for one of our clients. This role is crucial for ensuring the technical foundation and essential services for the smooth operation and transition of the SAP systems.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Lead the technical aspects of the migration from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA, including system landscape configuration, performance optimization, security, and overall stability.
• Collaborate within a large transformation programme, focusing on Core Finance transformation.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and work closely with third-party service providers to deliver technical solutions.
• Ensure the technical solutions meet business needs and align with the project vision to simplify operations, enhance user experience, and prepare for future changes.
• Provide expert guidance on the design and architecture of systems, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• In-depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANA architecture, including database, application, and presentation layers.
• Expertise in SAP BASIS administration, system upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of networking technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, and firewalls.
• Experience with security tools and technologies, such as SAP Solution Manager and SAP Access Control.
• Demonstrable experience in technical architecture roles across all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Proven track record in the design and delivery of large-scale, complex integrated IT solutions.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical designs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in complex analysis, consulting, and providing technical recommendations.
• Experience in defining technical architecture design principles and implementing complex systems architectures.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and transitioning from Waterfall to Agile delivery methodologies.
