SEN Teaching Assistant Role Overview:

• Support students with a variety of SEN, including autism, learning difficulties, and emotional or behavioural challenges.
• Work closely with students to manage and reduce challenging behaviours, and help them build coping mechanisms.
• Collaborate with class teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to deliver tailored learning support.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children or young adults with additional needs (e.g., SEN support, youth work, mental health roles).
• Strong behaviour management skills - any restraint or positive handling training is a plus.
• A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach, with a strong desire to support students with complex needs.
• Interest in pursuing a career in special education, psychology, or therapy.
