Job Description - Special Needs Assistant

SEN Teaching Assistant - Key Stage 2 - Harrow

Start Date: September 2025
Location: Harrow, North West London
Hours: 8:15am - 3:45pm (Monday to Friday, Term Time Only)
Daily Rate: £95
Contract: September to Christmas (with a strong likelihood of continuing for the full academic year)

The Opportunity

SANZA Teaching Agency is working with a three-form entry primary school in Harrow, seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 2 pupil with autism on a 1:1 basis. The role will begin in September 2025 and run through to Christmas initially, with strong potential to continue for the full academic year.

About the Role

As the 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support a KS2 pupil with autism in accessing the curriculum and managing transitions

  • Help build communication and social skills in line with the child's EHCP

  • Work closely with teaching staff, SENCO, and external specialists

  • Promote a nurturing, structured, and positive learning environment
