Daily Pay: £170.00 - £185.00 per day

The Role:

Are you an enthusiastic and compassionate Early Career Teacher (ECT) with a passion for working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you have a special interest in supporting students with learning, communication, and sensory needs? We have a fantastic opportunity for you!

Veritas Education are working with a cluster of Special Educational Needs settings around the Leeds and West Yorkshire area, looking to recruit an SEN teacher for September 2025. The role is as follows…

• Tailoring lessons to suit the individual needs of students, focusing on their academic, emotional, and sensory development.
• Working with a variety of tools and techniques to enhance communication, whether verbal, non-verbal, or sensory based.
• Promoting an inclusive classroom where all students feel valued and supported in their learning journey.
• Working alongside SENCo's, teaching assistants, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each child.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status
• Experience teaching and delivering lesson content to a range of SEN/Learning needs
• Comfortable adapting lessons to meet varying needs and manage behaviour
• Work alongside support, teaching, SLT and healthcare staff in providing a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
• Knowledge around Makaton, PECS and other communication techniques is preferred
• Full time from September 2025 and full UK teaching qualification (Essential)
