Pay: £90-£115 per day (PAYE, dependent on experience)

Tradewind Recruitment is a trusted leader in education recruitment, working in close partnership with SEND provisions and mainstream schools across Brent. We are currently seeking Special Needs Teaching Assistants to join dedicated teams in both primary and secondary SEND schools, starting September 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a passion for inclusive education and a desire to support pupils with diverse and complex needs, including autism, ADHD, and moderate to severe learning difficulties.

As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students to access learning in a way that meets their individual needs. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Providing 1:1 or small group support tailored to pupils' educational and emotional needs

• Supporting teaching staff in the delivery of differentiated lessons and behaviour strategies

• Encouraging student progress, confidence, independence and social development

• Helping to maintain a positive, structured and inclusive classroom environment

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND (in school, care or youth work settings)

• A calm, patient and nurturing approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A good understanding of autism, ADHD and/or learning difficulties

• DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

• A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential

• PAYE only - no umbrella companies

• Free access to over 2,500 CPD courses through The National College

• A team of consultants who are Safeguarding trained and specialists in SEND recruitment

• Ongoing support and honest, responsive communication throughout your placement
