Are you passionate about science and supporting students' learning in a hands-on environment?

We are seeking a Specialist Science Technician to join a dynamic and well-equipped Science department at a thriving secondary school in Bedfordshire. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of practical science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at Key Stages 3-5.

• Prepare, set up and maintain equipment and materials for science lessons

• Support teachers and students during practical sessions

• Ensure all experiments and practicals are delivered safely, following health & safety regulations

• Maintain stock levels and order resources as needed

• Assist with the maintenance of laboratories and preparation areas

• Support students with their understanding of practical procedures when required

• Contribute to the wider development of the Science department

• Have experience working in a laboratory or school science environment

• Be highly organised, proactive, and attentive to detail

• Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Have a strong knowledge of health & safety procedures, including COSHH and risk assessments

• Possess a relevant science qualification (A-levels, HND, or degree preferred)

• Be committed to supporting high-quality teaching and learning
