We have an exciting opportunity for a Specialist SEN Support Assistant to join our Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' secondary school in Upminster. We are seeking dedicated individuals who can make a real difference in our students' academic journey.

Our students with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) require tailored academic support, and to help them reach their full potential, we are looking to appoint experienced and committed Specialist SEN Support Assistants.

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 3:30pm, with no part-time options available. The position is available for an immediate start, or from the beginning of the new academic year in September.

Key Responsibilities:

• As a Specialist SEN support assistant you will provide one-to-one and group support for students with a variety of SEND, including ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties.

• Assist students in accessing the curriculum and achieving their academic targets.

• Work collaboratively with teaching staff to adapt learning resources and strategies.

• Promote independence, emotional well-being, and positive behaviour in students.

• Track and report on student progress.

What We're Looking For:

• Prior experience supporting students with SEND is essential.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• A patient, empathetic, and resilient attitude.

• A proactive approach to supporting learners across different age groups.

• Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support would be advantageous.
