Specialist Support Officer – Drug and Alcohol – Camden
  
Are you a passionate Specialist Support Officer looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are currently recruiting for a Support Officer to work within the Drug and Alcohol services based in Camden.
  
Pay Rates: £15.83
 
Information on the Role:  Successful candidates will be offered a place for 3 months, with a working pattern of Monday to Friday, with two days on shift per week and 3 days doing SSO work with working one weekend per month.
  
What you will be doing:
  • Provide clinical input for the staff and customers as directed by the service specification and the needs of the service
  • To take lead responsibility in application of defined specialist interventions
  • Disseminate and advise the local and wider teams on changes to best practice and new legislation
  • When required, administer medication and ensure appropriate records and maintained
  • Undertake group and one to one intervention with clients of a specialist nature
  • Provide a comprehensive support planning service to customers in line with departments
  • Support customers to develop the necessary skills to live independently, and to access training, education and work
  
Skills & Professional Characteristics needed:
  • Knowledge of specialist assessment tools, methods and case formulation
  • Knowledge about recovery mode, peer support and coproduction procedures
  • Experience running therapeutic groups
  • Ability to react to crisis situations in a calm effective way
  • Basic level of IT skills and literacy
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise workload
  • Ability to contribute to effective team working
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures
  
Essential Requirements:
  • Experience supervising medication
  • Experience designing and providing training
  • Knowledge of the housing sector
  • Ability to represent one housing to the other agencies and companies where necessary
  • Ability to provide regular monitoring information as required
