Job Description - Specialist Support Practitioner

Job Advertisement: Specialist Support Practitioner - Start September 2025
Location: Northfield
Contract Type: Full-time (5 days per week)
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £90 - £100 per day

Aspire People are looking for a Specialist Support Practitioner to work in a vibrant, inclusive and nurturing learning environment dedicated to supporting every child to reach their full potential. We are currently seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and skilled Specialist Support Practitioner to join our dedicated team from September 2025.

Role Overview:
The successful candidate will work closely with pupils across the school, providing targeted support for children with a range of additional needs including:
* Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
* Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
* Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
* Dyslexia
* Dyspraxia
* Global Developmental Delay

Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver personalised intervention programmes based on individual learning plans.
* Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCO, and external agencies.
* Monitor and track pupil progress and contribute to review meetings.
* Build positive and supportive relationships with children, helping them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
* Provide structured support during class time, as well as in small groups or one-to-one sessions.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience working with children with SEND, particularly ASD, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and global delay.
* A warm, patient, and empathetic approach.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
* A proactive attitude and a passion for inclusive education.
* Relevant qualifications in education, childcare or SEND support (desirable).
