Specialist Teaching Assistant - Specialist Provision

Location: Derbyshire, DE56
Contract: Long-term, Full-time
Start Date: September 2025
Pay: £90 - £105 per day

Your Role with Long Term Futures

As a Specialist Teaching Assistant, you'll:

  • Support students with autism, communication differences, learning difficulties, PDA, anxiety, and associated needs
  • Help deliver a personalised curriculum customised to Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets
  • Embed strategies for communication, sensory regulation, and behaviour support alongside therapists
  • Lead small-group and 1:1 sessions to boost life skills, social confidence, and academic progress

Person Specification

We're looking for candidates who:

  • Are experienced in special educational needs (SEN) settings-education, care, or therapeutic
  • Understand EHCP frameworks and have confidence managing challenging behaviour
  • Are reflective, nurturing, and resilient with a genuine passion for long-term impact
  • Work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary, structured environment
