Overview

An outstanding special needs school in Riffa, Bahrain, are searching for a full time Speech & Language Therapist to work with students with various learning difficulties as part of the schools’ outreach service. The S&L Therapist will also have the responsibility of leading the Therapy support- team and will work closely with the SEN co-ordinator.

The school

Bahrain’s first ever, independent and dedicated special needs school which opened in 2008. The school offers classes with low teacher-pupil ratios and several teaching assistants in each class, to facilitate one-on-one attention. It also provides an individualized education within a nurturing learning environment offering high levels of academic and therapeutic support. As well as the luxury of having specialist comprehensive therapy services on site to offer a multi-disciplinary approach to the learning environment.

The idea candidate

• A recognised professional qualification (MRCSLT, MHPC)
• At least 3-5 years’ experience
• Successful experience of leading a team
• A sound understanding of child development and children’s needs
• Experience in a school setting

Salary range: Tax free Salary ranging between 1250 - 1500 BHD per month
