Job Title: Sports Coach / SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Stoke on Trent
Start Date: [ASAP / September 2025 / 5 days per week

Are you a passionate Sports Coach looking to make a difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs (SEN)? We're seeking a dynamic and physically active individual to work as a Sports Coach / SEN Teaching Assistant in a specialist school or alternative provision.
This is a fantastic opportunity to combine your passion for physical activity with supporting students who benefit from structured, active learning environments.
?? Please note: You must have your own car and full UK driving licence - travel between sites or to off-site provisions may be required.

Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver and support engaging physical activity and sports sessions tailored to students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.
* Provide in-class and 1:1 support, using physical activity as a tool to engage and regulate behaviour.
* Support behaviour management strategies, including physical intervention when necessary (training provided).
* Build strong, supportive relationships with students and staff.
* Help pupils develop social skills, emotional regulation, and resilience through movement-based learning.

Requirements:
* Background in sports coaching, youth work, or PE support.
* Comfortable with physically active, hands-on work.
* Prior experience with SEN is beneficial - training can be provided.
* MUST have own car and full driving licence (travel is part of the role).
* Team Teach or similar training desirable, or willingness to complete.
