SQL Developer - Contract (Maze ID 183)

My client is looking for someone with 5-8 years experience with SQL, Python, Java Script and Excel to support an Asset Management investment team

SQL Developer - Contract (Maze ID – 183)

Client Name – Confidential, until interview

• General Competencies: Financial Market experience. Preferably buyside / investment management / family office. Preferably some understanding of operations + portfolio mgmt.
• Ability to work autonomously (as sole developer). Translating requirements from non-tech stakeholders and finding best solutions yourself.
• Technical Competencies: SQL - to query FA database and maintain current queries written by SK for

- BBG daily upload

- Liquidity report(s)

- Updating security data (e.g. allocations)

- Data “health checks”, i.e. missing allocations, expiring instruments, etc.

• - Ad hoc querying / new reporting as required by Inv Team (data for committee meetings)Python - to maintain existing scripts written by HT for

- Existing (/new?) ACE reporting

- Clipper illiquids report (with view to rewrite)

- Building templates to import data into FA

• - Building templates to import data into BBG JavaScript (+ HTML/CSS and some exposure to graphQL) - for any and all work that is to be self-contained within FA (and exported if necessary)

- Performance reports * 4

- HCP Ownership Schedule

- Potential ACE reporting rewrite (to be fully contained within FA)

- Potential to rebuild all reporting this way (if buy-in from business)

• - Hedges against FA potentially removing support for SQL in future.Excel - to maintain existing solutions + possibly developing new

- VBA experience required for macro-heavy spreadsheets

- Advanced formulas
