Job Title: Store Assistant
Salary: £12.50 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week

We are seeking a dedicated Store Assistant to join a fantastic team. This role is a blend of customer service and yard duties, ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent service while also managing stock and yard operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle customer inquiries and process orders efficiently in a local site or branch environment.
• Manage account setup, pricing, order entry, and resolve any customer queries.
• Process credit notes and manual invoices, ensuring all procedures are followed correctly.
• Reconcile banking, process payments, and assist with calculating commission payments.
• Provide rapid issue resolution, escalating when necessary for quick turnaround.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, agents, and internal teams to understand and meet their needs.
• Engage proactively with customers, identifying potential sales opportunities and passing them to the sales team.
• Carry out yard duties, including managing stock levels and ensuring the yard is safe and well-organised.

Requirements:

• A passion for delivering high-quality customer service with excellent communication skills.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-facing role, whether in retail, on the phone, or in a yard environment.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks and problem-solve effectively.
• A keen willingness to learn about about products and industry.
• A full, clean UK manual driving licence (a forklift licence is beneficial but not essential).
