Stores Man

Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and organized Stores man to manage inventory and supplies within our warehouse in Stockport

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining stock levels, ensuring efficient storage, and supporting operations with timely stock management.

Key Responsibilities

Receive goods in (paperwork)

Organise parts / components

Stock keeping - managing to minimum stock levels

Pick items for specific projects and collate

Allocate materials and parts to specific projects to ensure stock keeping and project finances are correct

Assistance with checking goods onto wagons

Fork lift Counterbalance licence is an advantage

Organising fitting kits for projects

Reports to production manager

Responsible for quality within stores

Requirements:

- Previous experience in a stores or warehouse role preferred

- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills

- Ability to lift and move stock safely

- Forklift license - an advantage

- Good communication and teamwork abilities

- Good accuracy, knowledge of Microsoft office suite / excel, detail driven, organised and efficient.

Working Hours :

Monday - Friday 08:00-17:00

Opportunity for overtime during the busy summer months.

Pay Rate : £13.00
