My client is a Local Authority in Central London who are looking to appoint a Finance Consultant on an interim basis. Spencer Clarke Group are working in collaboration with the council to recruit to the post.

About the role:

Based in London (Hybrid):

We are seeking an experienced senior finance professional to support a london borough through a critical period of funding reform, strategic planning, and financial reset. This is a high-impact interim post, ideally suited to someone with strong corporate finance and local government knowledge.

What's on offer:

• Salary: £685 - £950 per day, inside IR35.

*negotiable based on experience

• Hybrid working. (Occasional Meetings)
• Contract type: Contract (35 hrs a week)
• Hours: 09:00 -17:00 Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

Support and lead on the MTFS process and advice on mitigations from the funding reform. Lead on the Funding Reforms.

Lead on the financial impact from the Business Rates reset.

About you:
You will have the following experiences:

• Fully qualified Accountant - CIPFA, ACCA, CIMA.
• Significant Experience at a senior level within the public sector. (MTFS)
• in-depth knowledge of the legislative and other matters facing local government in the department service areas, both at present and in the future.
