Interim Strategic Finance Manager – Adult Social Care

Based in London, hybrid working

Length: 6 months initially

IR35 status: Inside

Rate: £500 per day via an umbrella company

Venn Group is currently recruiting for an Interim Strategic Finance Manager, with advanced analytical, problem-solving and financial modelling expertise to support key projects within Adult Social Care and Commissioning services.

Key Responsibilities of the Interim Strategic Finance Manager – Adult Social Care:

• Provide financial analysis, scenario modelling and evidence-based insights to support decision-making and respond to changes
• Lead financial reviews and appraisals of key projects to ensure value for money and recommend viable delivery options
• Assess affordability, financial risks and value for money of services and projects, providing strategic insights and plans to optimise outcomes
• Advise on procurement, contracts and commercial decisions, identifying savings and supporting supplier sustainability
• Oversee financial reporting, planning, budget control and capital programme management
• Manage year-end processes and closure of accounts to deliver compliant, timely Statements of Accounts
• Analyse financial data and trends to identify risks and pressures, recommending mitigation actions
• Support succession planning and foster a collaborative team culture to build resilience and share knowledge

Skills, experience and knowledge required of the Interim Strategic Finance Manager:

• Proven experience operating within a Local Authority setting
• Strong knowledge of Adult Social Care and commissioning service areas
• Demonstratable background in financial analysis and modelling
