Strategic Finance Manager (Capital)

A Local Authority in South West London who are looking to appoint a talented Finance Business Partner on an Interim basis to develop the councils Strategy. Spencer Clarke Group are working closely with the client to find the successful candidate.

What's on offer:

• Rates: £370 - £500 per day, inside IR35.

*Negotiable based on experience

• Contract type: Contract (36 hrs a week)
• Hours: 09:00 -17:00

About the role:

Based in West London: (Hybrid)

Responsibilities:

• Development and Co-ordination of the capital programme, and monitoring costs/ delivery & Providing financial advice and support on capital projects.
• Providing robust methodology for calculating "no detriment" allocation of (part) HRA receipts to the GF where applicable.
• Development of the Capital Strategy & Coordination of the Council's Capital Board.
• Management of Capital Grants/ S106/ S278 - ensuring alignment with budgetary assumptions on a scheme by scheme basis, and proper allocation arrangements.

About you:
You will have the following experience:

• Qualified accountant with experience of local government corporate finance.
• Self-starter with initiative and team leadership experience who enjoys working in a collaborative and adaptable team environment.
