Strategic Housing Asset Team Leader Required

Contract Length: 3-6 Months

Location: Suffolk

Rate of Pay: Negotiable (Inside IR35)

Venn Group are looking for a Housing Asset Team Leader to work for a Local Authority in Suffolk

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Provide strategic leadership across housing services, ensuring delivery of the Council’s Asset Management Strategy
• Oversee the completion of 100% Stock Condition (incl. HHSRS) Surveys and develop long-term investment programmes
• Lead the delivery of major initiatives including the (c.£12M) Warm Homes Scheme and housing regeneration projects
• Provide expert advice on asset management, procurement, and housing compliance to Members, colleagues, and residents
• Manage budgets, risks, and performance reporting to ensure housing assets are well-maintained and compliant
• Lead, support, and develop the Housing Capital Investment Team

The successful candidate will have:

• Extensive experience in housing asset management and capital investment programmes
• Strong knowledge of housing legislation, compliance, and procurement processes
• Proven ability to lead teams and deliver large-scale housing projects
• Relevant professional qualification (RICS, CIH, CIOB, or similar)
• Full UK Driving License and flexibility to travel across sites as required
