Street Scene Operative Driver - Manual Labour

Use mobile technology to receive and respond to service requests from the public in real time.

Remove fly-tipping, fly-posting, dead animals, and other environmental hazards as required.

Proactively identify and report incidents of fly-tipping, fly-posting, and dead animals encountered during daily duties.

Participate in weekend cleansing operations on a rota basis, including Town Centre cleaning and Borough-wide fly-tip removal.

Monitor and report on cleansing standards before and after work is carried out.

Identify and report graffiti found during the course of duties.

Collaborate with the Environmental Enforcement Team to collect evidence and share intelligence related to environmental offences.

Report all accidents and near-miss incidents encountered during the working day.

Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and perform dynamic risk assessments prior to starting tasks.

Notify the supervisor of any vehicle defects and record them in the defect log.

Accurately maintain a log of drivers' working hours.

Provide cover for other drivers, including mobile response units and inspection teams, as needed.
