Structural Design Engineer

Attention all Structural Design Engineers!

We are looking for a motivated Structural Design Engineer to join a well-established engineering consultancy, in a contract position, outside IR35. You will be required to work on a hybrid basis, working 3 days a week from our client’s office in London.

This is a great opportunity to work on an exciting commercial project, with an experienced team.

-Hourly rate between £40.00-43.00, depending on experience + flexible benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

-Produce structural analyses, calculations and CAD/BIM drawings using Tekla, Tedds, Robot, etc.

-Coordinate with architects, contractors and other stakeholders to refine designs.

-Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with UK building regulations.

-Mentor junior engineers and contribute to design reviews.

What we are looking for:

Essential:

- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).

-Must have exceptional steelwork experience.

-Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., Tekla, Tedds, Robot).

-Strong understanding of UK building codes and regulations.

-Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

Desirable:

-Experience working on vertical extensions is ideal.

-Chartered or working towards chartership with IStructE or ICE.
