Structural Engineer

Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are looking for a motivated Structural Engineer to join a civil and structural engineering consultancy in 6-month contract position, outside IR35. You will be required to work on a hybrid basis working 3 days a week in our client’s office in Bath. This is a great opportunity to work on a range of traditional building structures schemes as well as some mission critical projects.

Key Responsibilities:

-Design safe, durable structures that meet regulations, using appropriate materials and CAD software for simulations.

-Monitor project progress, conduct site inspections, and ensure contractor work meets structural standards.

-Prepare reports, drawings, and calculations related to loads, pressures, and stresses.

-Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals, and provide technical advice throughout the project.

-Handle planning applications and ensure compliance with building regulations.

What we are looking for:

-Knowledge of Tekla structural designer is a plus!

-Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).

-Strong communications skills for client facing environments.

-Chartered or working towards chartered status with ICE or IStructE.

-Proven experience in structural design.

-Proficient in structural analysis and design software (e.g. MIDAS, SAP2000, STAAD, Robot, etc.).
