Job Role: Structural Engineer

Location: Edinburgh / Surrounding Area

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:00

Salary: From £35,000 pa to £42,000 pa subject to experience

Travel: Travel to client sites across the UK is required

Driving License: Required

Our client is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our growing team based in the Edinburgh area. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and skilled individual to contribute to innovative projects across the UK, with a focus on Temporary Works and Structural Engineering Design.

You will play a key role in working directly with clients, producing concept designs, and delivering engineering solutions that meet high technical standards and project goals. We are looking for an adaptable candidate who is eager to learn our temporary works solutions and become an essential part of the team. The ideal candidate will be ready to engage with a diverse range of clients across various market sectors, including oil & gas, mining, power generation, and civil infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Liaise with clients to understand and define project requirements

Provide concept design solutions in line with client expectations

Attend project meetings, both virtual (via Teams) and on-site throughout the UK

Produce and deliver high-quality Temporary Works drawings

Prepare and submit quotations for systems based on delivered drawings

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong background in Structural Engineering and Structural Engineering Design

HND or above in a relevant engineering discipline (Maths/Physics Advanced Higher, HND, or Degree equivalent)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Full UK Driving License

Preferred Skills

Experience with Inventor, 3D CAD, or BIM software

Scaffold Design experience

Project Management experience
