What You Will Do:
As a pivotal member of the delivery team, you will:

• Lead the Development Stages: Oversee the extension of the Drakelow substation, ensuring that all phases run smoothly.
• Provide Technical Leadership: Use your engineering experience to guide the team through the development stages, ensuring that designs are practical and feasible.
• Ensure Compliance: Guarantee that all project designs meet National Grid standards and are aligned with industry regulations.
• Coordinate Efficiently: Work closely with engineering teams to meet project milestones and ensure timely delivery.
• Implement NEC practises: utilise your NEC construction experience to uphold project timelines and budgets.
• Engage Stakeholders: Collaborate with operational stakeholders to ensure that project objectives align with organisational goals and expectations.

Your Skills:
To thrive in this role, you should have:

• Proven Experience: A strong background in substation development and construction.
• High Voltage Knowledge: An in-depth understanding of high voltage systems and their applications.
• NEC Expertise: Familiarity with NEC construction practises and project management methodologies.
• Educational Qualifications: A degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent career experience.
• Transmission Construction Experience: Previous experience in managing transmission construction projects is highly preferred.
