Job Description - Summer Program Coordinators

We have a number of opportunities for motivated and dedicated individuals to join a leading provider of residential summer academic programs for international students in Cambridge. As our client prepares for their Summer 2025 Program, we are supporting with the recruitment of a variety of Senior Leadership roles and will cover a range of responsibilities from Student Welfare, Operations and Events.

Applications are welcome from individuals with previous experience working with young people, ideally within a residential setting. Your energy, resilience and enthusiasm will inspire others, as will your ability to navigate through sometimes difficult and complex problems. You will have an easy manner, great empathy and a wide range of social skills to engage effectively with a diverse audience. Others will have trust and confidence in your judgement, advice and guidance.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: There are four course programs that run from 4th July to 16th August 2025. Applicants for one, two or all programs will be considered. On-site Accommodation will be provided where required.

SENIOR LEADERSHIP TEAM

The senior team is made up of highly motivated and experienced individuals from a variety of educational and professional backgrounds, who reside on site in Cambridge. They work together closely to ensure programmes are run safely and successfully, whilst providing excellent leadership and guidance to both students and the wider team.

Program Director - Directly involved and with overall responsibility for the smooth and successful running of the summer programme, and the welfare of all staff and students.

Assistant Program Director - Working alongside the Program Directors to support them with the smooth running of the programmes as well as specific key responsibilities as required.

Program Dean - Overseeing pastoral care of our students, resolving issues and offering guidance and advice where appropriate to both students and staff.

Welfare Director - Responsible for maintaining an overview of the welfare and medical needs of our students, ensuring they feel safe, well and supported at all times.

Program Coordinator - Providing leadership and training for a large team of Supervisors, coordinating logistics and overseeing the daily schedule and staffing.

Curriculum Operations Coordinator (not required to stay onsite)- Responsible for overseeing curriculum logistics and the smooth operation of the academic courses during the programmes. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other office productivity tools, with the ability to manage data, update course surveys, and design schedules efficiently.

Experience and Knowledge

  • Previous experience working in a residential setting (Essential)
  • Previous experience working with young people (Essential)
  • Previous experience working in a leadership role (Essential)
  • Knowledge of Cambridge city, its colleges and history (Highly Desirable)

Welfare Director:

  • Previous experience working in a pastoral or mentoring role (Desirable)
  • Working as part of a senior leadership team within an educational institution (Desirable)

Curriculum Operations Coordinator:

  • Graduate level and above (2:1+) (Desirable)
  • Cambridge city, its colleges and history (Desirable)
  • Valid First Aid Certificate (Desirable)
  • Experience working in an office (Desirable)
  • Working with young people (Desirable)
