Job Description - Support Worker - Waking NIghts

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for House Support Workers to support a Residential Service for Young Adults in Huddersfield.
£14.00ph PAYE Inclusive
Full Time
12 Weeks Contract with view to going permanent

Our service supports young adults aged 18–25 with learning disabilities and autism as they transition towards more independent living. Based in a residential setting, the service is focused on personal development, community integration, and enabling each individual to reach their full potential.

Day to Day:

Play a key role in helping young adults develop the skills and confidence needed to live more independently.
Deliver consistent, person-centred support within a homely environment in Huddersfield.
Assist with daily routines including personal care, cooking, budgeting, medication, and accessing the community.
Support with managing behaviours, setting achievable goals, and promoting emotional wellbeing.
Work closely with families, care coordinators, and health professionals to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Person Specification:

Previous experience supporting young adults with learning disabilities and/or autism.
A passion for empowering individuals to develop independence and life skills.
It is essential the applicant is a driver with access to a car and business insurance.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
A full enhanced DBS on the Update Service would be highly desirable.
Patience, empathy, and a calm, consistent approach are essential.
