Job Description - Support Workers

Mental Health Support Worker - North London

Pay: £13.90 per hour

Location: North London - Multiple sites

Contract Type: Temporary - Ad Hoc Shifts

Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable adults to lead independent, fulfilling lives? We're looking for a Mental health Support Worker to join a dynamic service in North London , providing housing-related support to adults with a variety of needs.

This role focuses on empowering clients to achieve their goals, improve their quality of life, and maintain safe, stable housing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting people with mental health difficulites and challenges - MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE
  • Provide personalised, housing-related support in line with client-led support plans.
  • Promote independence and prevent homelessness by helping service users build life skills.
  • Conduct keywork sessions, safety planning, and regular assessments tailored to individual needs.
  • Support clients in accessing education, healthcare, leisure activities, and community services.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case records, including digital records on internal systems.
  • Carry out housing management tasks: rent collection, reporting repairs, managing move-ins/outs.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
  • Support with domestic tasks where appropriate.
  • Adhere to relevant legislation and organisational policies and procedures.
  • Engage in regular supervision, appraisal, and professional development opportunities.

Safeguarding Commitment:

This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities. Ongoing internal and external safeguarding training will be provided and is mandatory throughout employment.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with vulnerable adults or in a supported housing environment is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively.
  • Committed to upholding safeguarding and equality principles.
  • IT literacy and ability to maintain digital records.
