System Accountant

Systems Accountant - Manchester

We're seeking an ambitious and motivated Systems Accountant to become part of our dynamic finance team in Manchester.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the effective operation of our project management system, Rapport3, ensuring it delivers value to both fee earners and finance.

• Drive improvements through testing and managing system updates, upgrades, and reporting developments.

• Act as the "super user" and first point of contact for queries, providing guidance and training to maximise system capability.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate and prioritise system enhancements, embedding best practice across the organisation.

• Lead on the implementation of a new finance system to replace Access Dimensions.

• Maintain and update process documentation, ensuring controls are in place and tested regularly.

About you

• (CIMA or ACCA), with previous systems accounting experience, ideally in a consultancy setting with exposure to project management.

• Hands-on experience as a system superuser within a finance function.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain finance systems clearly to non-finance colleagues.

• Confident working independently, using sound judgement and problem-solving skills.

• Skilled at building effective relationships and engaging stakeholders across all levels.

• Previous people management experience would be an asset.
