My client is on the lookout for an innovative and proactive Systems Accountant to lead the charge in revolutionising financial systems and processes across the Group. This is more than just a systems role - it's a strategic position at the heart of an ambitious organisation determined to enhance performance through technology, automation, and smart financial insight.
With the flexibility to work from home and the opportunity to collaborate with teams across Liverpool and other nearby sites.

What You'll Be Doing
Lead Systems Transformation

• Spearhead the development, implementation, and optimisation of financial systems across the Group.
• Take ownership of system controls and user permissions, ensuring compliance with governance and approval structures.
• Continually assess and challenge existing processes, seeking opportunities for automation and streamlining.
• Champion a culture of self-service, efficiency, and innovation in finance operations.

Enhance Reporting & Decision Support

• Design and develop impactful financial reports that empower leadership to make informed decisions.
• Deliver clear, timely, and accurate financial insights to internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure financial policies and procedures are not only up-to-date but effectively implemented.

Support & Collaboration

• Act as the go-to expert for all things related to financial systems and processes.
• Lead the documentation and delivery of system training for new and existing team members.
• Work collaboratively across the business, ensuring financial systems align with wider business needs and strategic goals.

Build Relationships & Promote Best Practice

• Build trusted partnerships across departments and external agencies.
• Promote a strong culture of financial control and continuous improvement, working closely with Business Assurance.

Safeguard Compliance & Mitigate Risk

• Provide expert advice across finance functions to ensure consistent application of procedures.
• Maintain compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Operate within the Group's risk management framework, proactively managing financial system-related risks.
