Tax Assistant

We are seeking a Tax Assistant to work through a backlog, focusing on preparing and filing self-assessment tax returns and completing year-end processes. This role is ideal for someone who is proficient in using Xero accounting software and can commit to a project for 4 to 12 weeks.

My client is based on the outskirts of Exeter with onsite parking. They are open and flexible to working hours so would consider someone on a full or part time basis.

• Work through a backlog of tasks with efficiency and accuracy.
• Prepare and file self-assessment tax returns in compliance with regulations.
• Handle the completion of year-end processes to ensure all financial reporting is accurate and timely.
• Utilise Xero accounting software to maintain and manage financial records.
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure that all financial data is correctly recorded and processed.

• Experience in tax preparation and filing, particularly self-assessment tax returns.
• Proficient in using Xero accounting software.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
