Requirements

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• Knowledge of curriculum developments in both Art and DT
• An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

• Confident in delivering both Art and Design Technology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to differentiate effectively for all abilities
• Well-organised and able to manage workload effectively
• Strong IT skills to support digital learning
• Commitment to continuous professional development

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Art and Design Technology
• Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Assess, record, and report on student's progress
• Prepare students for GCSE Art and/or DT examinations
• Create a safe and supportive learning environment
• Maintain and organise departmental resources and materials
• Monitor and track student data to inform teaching strategies
• Organise and display student's artwork and projects around the school
• Support and run extra-curricular clubs or enrichment activities
• Foster a love of creativity, craftsmanship, and artistic thinking
