The English Department holds a strong culture of high achieving standards and are seeking a Teacher of English who will promote the subject both passionately and positively.

Qualifying Candidates...

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status and/or direct experience in teaching English at Secondary level?
• Knowledge of English Curriculum at KS3 and KS4 level (desirably at KS5)
• Passionate about English literature and language with a desire to inspire young learners
• Effective classroom management, and the ability to engage students of varying abilities
• Committed to personal development and contributing to the wider school community
• Based in Milton Keynes (or commutable to)

Responsibilities - Teacher of English

• Plan and deliver English lessons aligned with the curriculum
• Assess and provide feedback on student work
• Prepare students for formative and summative assessment
• Manage classroom behaviour and engagement
• Adapt teaching methods tailored to varying abilities
• Communicate confidently with staff, students and parents/carers
• Contribute to the promotion and implementation of subject success
