Teacher Pupil Referral Unit

Position: KS3 - KS4 Teacher – Pupil Referral Unit (PRU)

Location: Blackpool

Salary: £32,916 - £45,350 (M1-M6) – Salary paid to scale calculated on a daily basis.

Type: Temporary

Duration: 2.5 Terms

Start Date: ASAP

Vida Education are working alongside a large Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) within Blackpool to find an enthusiastic teacher to work within there KS3 and KS4 provision. Students may present with SEMH/EBD and/or challenging behaviours and specific learning difficulties.

School:

• Supports children between the ages of 9-16 with SEMH/EBD and/or challenging behaviour who have been removed from or excluded from mainstream education.
• Teaching small classes of up to 8 children withing the KS3 and KS4 provision.
• Located close to local public transport links

Requirements:

• Must have prior experience working with secondary aged children with challenging behaviour.
• Strong understanding of de-escalation techniques
• Team Teach qualification is desirable
• Hold UK QTS
• ECT are welcome to apply
• Have an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one

YOU WILL NEED TO

• Have UK Right to Work Status.
• Hold a TA qualification or have relevant work experience.
• Complete a registration with Vida Education which includes holding a current Enhanced DBS registered with the DBS Update Service, or you will be prepared to apply for a new ENHANCED DBS with ourselves (cost applied).
