Teacher - Year 4

We are seeking a dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join a vibrant primary school in North Chorley for the Autumn Term of 2025. This role involves covering the end of a maternity leave, working full-time from September until Christmas. The successful candidate will lead a mixed class of 26 children, some of whom exhibit challenging behaviour. The school is conveniently located near motorway access, making it easily accessible.

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons that meet the educational needs of all students in a Year 4 class.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, implementing strategies to engage students who may exhibit challenging behaviour.
• Assess and record students’ progress, preparing them for the next stages in their education.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress and any concerns.
• Collaborate with other teaching staff and contribute to the school community.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching at the primary level, specifically with Year 4 or similar age groups.
• Proven ability to manage classrooms with challenging behaviour.
