Teaching Assistant - £13.68 phr including Holiday pay - Andover

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant / learning support assistant to join a supportive school environment in Andover, starting on June 2nd, 2025, and continuing through to the end of the academic year in July 2025. There is a strong possibility of this role extending into the new academic year from September 2025.

This vital role involves providing one-to-one support for a child within Key Stage 2 & 3, working closely with the class teacher to ensure their individual learning and development needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored 1:1 support to a student in Key Stage 2 & 3, under the guidance of the class teacher.
• Assist with the implementation of individualised learning plans and strategies.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Support the student with their academic tasks, social development, and emotional well-being.
• Collaborate effectively with the class teacher, parents, and other professionals.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children in Key Stage 2 and/or 3.
• A nurturing, patient, and understanding approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Essential: A valid Enhanced DBS certificate issued within the last three months, or registered on the Update Service.
• Essential: Due to the school's location, you must have a valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
• Advantageous: Experience with anger management strategies and implementing these.
