Role: Teaching Assistant

Location: Richmond

Pay rate: Up to £600 per week

Start date: September 2025

Full-time: Mon - Fri (8:30am - 4pm)

Horizon Teachers are seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant to join a safe and happy haven of education where children not only learn but thrive creatively. This role will include supporting students academically and pastorally on a whole class, small group and one-to-one basis.

Key responsibilities:

• Plan and assess work (guided by teaching staff) and deliver pastorally focused groups

Deliver specific time-limited interventions in small groups and one-to-one

• Provide learning support for pupils in the class or in withdrawal situations, either one to one or small groups under the guidance of the class teacher
• Support children with special educational needs and disabilities, under the guidance of the Head of Learning
• Provide positive reinforcements, praise and awards
• Assist class teachers with the preparation of resources and displays
• Accompany staff and pupils on school visits
• Attend INSET and other training organised by the school to provide a consistent approach to teaching and learning
