Location: Islington, N1 (commutable from Finsbury Park, Holloway, Camden, Hackney, Highbury & Islington, and Archway)
Daily Pay: £95 - £115
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term

Long Term Futures are delighted to be supporting a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Islington, who are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team for the full academic year starting this September. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people and gaining valuable experience in a school environment.

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant in this secondary school, you will provide essential support to both students and teachers across Key Stages 3 and 4. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Offering one-on-one and small group instruction to pupils needing additional help
• Supporting classroom teachers with lesson planning and delivery
• Assisting with behaviour management to ensure a positive learning environment
• Helping to monitor student progress and provide feedback
• Contributing to the pastoral care of pupils and promoting positive wellbeing

The role will involve supporting a wide range of needs, including pupils with SEN, so previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar setting would be highly beneficial.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to support behaviour management strategies effectively
