Teaching Assistant

About the role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support to both teachers and pupils, ensuring lessons run smoothly and that every child has the opportunity to succeed. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons and activities.

• Working one-to-one and with small groups of pupils, including those with additional or special educational needs.

• Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting children's social and emotional development.

• Assisting in the preparation of classroom resources and learning materials.

• Promoting independence, confidence, and enthusiasm for learning.

• Helping to create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent relevant experience).

• Experience of working with children in a primary school environment.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.

• A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to supporting learning.

• A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils.
