Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship - SEND School

About the Role:

This apprenticeship is based in an inclusive and forward-thinking SEND school in Barking. We’re looking for a compassionate, proactive apprentice to start in September 2025. You’ll be supporting students with a range of additional needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, sensory processing challenges, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with SEND

• Assisting the class teacher in adapting and delivering accessible lessons

• Helping students regulate their emotions and behaviour positively

• Supporting communication, independence and life skills development

• Preparing and maintaining inclusive classroom resources

• Giving feedback to the teacher and contributing to progress reviews

• Assisting with sensory activities, enrichment, and educational visits
