Teaching Assistant - Blackburn

We are currently looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support a range of primary schools in the Blackburn area on an ad-hoc basis, Monday to Friday. This role pays £13.68 - £16.68 per hour, depending on experience, with the potential for long-term placements and permanent roles for the right candidates.

Your key responsibilities:

• Provide tailored 1:1 and group support to pupils across the curriculum

• Assist with lesson preparation, resource organisation, and classroom management

• Offer targeted support to pupils with additional needs or learning barriers

• Build strong, supportive relationships with staff, pupils, and parents

• Help with marking, pupil progress tracking, and general classroom tasks

• Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment

• Supervise and support children during off-site trips and activities

• Attend staff meetings and follow school policies and safeguarding procedures

What we're looking for:

• A recognised Level 2 or 3 TA qualification

• Recent experience working in a primary school setting

• Confidence supporting children with a range of academic and behavioural needs

• A positive, adaptable attitude and strong communication skills

• The ability to build rapport with children and work effectively as part of a team
