Teaching Assistant - Blackpool

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs and social, emotional, and mental health challenges?
We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive school in Blackpool to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students with SEND and SEMH needs on a 1:1 basis and within small group settings. This is a long-term role starting in September 2025, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Your new role

• Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of SEND and SEMH needs
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual learning plans
• Foster a nurturing and positive learning environment
• Support students both 1:1 and in small groups to help them achieve their full potential
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff and parents

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience working with SEND and/or SEMH students (school or care setting)
• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for supporting children's development
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
