Teaching Assistant – Key Stage 3 – SEND
A welcoming and inclusive school in Birmingham is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support Key Stage 3 students with moderate learning needs. You will work closely with teachers and the SENCO to provide tailored support that meets the individual needs of each student. This school requires a Teaching Assistant who has previous experience supporting children with moderate or complex needs.

Job Role:

• Supporting Key Stage 3 students with moderate learning needs in the classroom
• Assisting the teacher in delivering differentiated lessons to engage and motivate learners
• Providing one-to-one and small group support to help students develop confidence and independence
• Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting students with emotional regulation
• Working collaboratively with staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
• Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers and support staff

Requirements:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or relevant experience)
• Experience working with children with SEND, particularly moderate learning needs
• A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach to supporting students
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A commitment to promoting inclusion and helping every child succeed
