Teaching Assistant SEND

About Us:

Horizon Teachers is working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Hounslow to find a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term role (8:30 AM 3:30 PM), providing 1:1 support for a pupil with special educational needs.

The Role:

We're looking for someone patient, empathetic, and committed to helping children with additional needs succeed. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work 1:1 with a KS1 child, supporting them with their learning, behaviour, and emotional development throughout the school day. You'll play a vital role in helping them feel confident, included, and supported.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing 1:1 support to a child in KS1 with special educational needs
• Assisting with daily learning tasks, adapted activities, and emotional regulation
• Creating a safe, positive, and engaging environment
• Collaborating closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and parents/carers
• Supporting the child's social and emotional development alongside academic progress
