About the Role

A warm and supportive primary school is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. This role covers:

• Supporting targeted learning across Key Stage?1 and 2

• Delivering small group interventions and one-to-one support

• Supervising and engaging children in their wrap-around care programme before and after school

• Collaborating with teachers and staff to create a positive, inclusive environment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality support during class lessons and small-group interventions

• Plan and deliver engaging activities during breakfast and after-school club sessions

• Foster positive behaviour, ensuring safety and well-being in all settings

• Liaise effectively with staff, parents, and external agencies

• Assist with classroom organisation, record-keeping, and resources

Candidate Profile

We’re looking for someone who:

• Holds at least a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)

• Has previous experience working with young children in school or wrap-around care settings

• Demonstrates strong communication and teamwork skills

• Has an adaptable, organised and proactive approach

• Shares our commitment to safeguarding and child-centred values

Hours & Terms

• Full-time: approx. 42 hours/week, term-time only

• Includes wrap-around care before school (8am) and after school (3:15-5pm)

• Start date: September 1st 2025
