Teaching Associate

Horizon Teachers is working with a high-performing secondary school in East London to recruit a committed and organised Teaching Associate to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a diverse and inclusive school that has been recognised for excellence in behaviour, personal development, and leadership.

This role would suit a graduate or someone with experience or training in education who is passionate about inclusion and supporting student progress.

The Role Includes:

• Supporting students with additional needs in and out of the classroom
• Working closely with the SEN team, teaching staff, parents, and external professionals
• Delivering interventions and supporting small groups or individuals
• Helping to prepare resources and adapt materials as needed
• Supporting pupils with behaviour, engagement, and personal development

Requirements:

• Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
• Graduate-level education or relevant qualifications in education/support work
• A positive, proactive, and flexible approach
• Confidence working independently and with small groups of students
• Experience supporting students with SEN
