Team Leader

Acorn by Synergie is currently looking for a hands on Team Leader/Supervisor on a temp to perm basis to work for their client, a lovely family run FMCG business, based in Halebank in Widnes.

The role has genuine opportunities for a permanent contract and job progression.

The job role will include:

* Leading and motivating the team to achieve daily production targets

* Allocating tasks and ensuring smooth workflow throughout each shift

* Ensuring production targets and KPIs are met

* Monitoring product quality, ensuring hygiene standards, and enforcing safe working practises

* Providing hands on support and leadership to the team

* Ensuring the production area is clean, safe and well organised

The entire shift works as a team so the supervisor will be involved in hands on production duties such as

* Machine-operating
* Line-feeding
* Quality-checking
* Packing
* General hygiene duties
* Completion of paperwork
* Awareness of product standards / specifications
* Conducting periodical inspections
* Cleandown of machines

Applicants must have:

* Previous experience as a supervisor or team leader

* Proven ability to lead a team in a practical hands on setting

* Confidence handling production records, documentation and basic reporting

* Excellent communciation and organisational skills

* Background in food production, FMCG and a fast paced manufacturing environment

* A positive, can-do attitude

* Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and health safety regulations

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 3pm-10pm

Pay: starts at £12.80 per hour while training and increases to £13.10 per hour once fully trained

There is an immediate start to the position
