Job Description - Technical Assistant

Niyaa People are working with a higher education institution in Birmingham who are looking for a Technical Assistant to join their team on an initial 6-month contract

Benefits of the Technical Assistant role includes:
  • £19-£21 per hour
  • Flexible working hours and potential hybrid working opportunities
  • Opportunity for contract to be extended

Responsibilities of the Technical Assistant role includes:
  • Scheduling work for the contractors who work within the mechanical and electrical department
  • Uploading and filing reports based on the contractor's findings
  • Working alongside other Technical officers to support the building safety department
  • Support in scheduling meetings, managing files and assist the team when needed
  • Keep track of process with contractors and update management when needed

Key skills needed for the Technical Assistant role includes:
  • Previous experience working alongside compliance team
  • Experience managing contractors workload and scheduling contractors
  • Background and experience within public or private sector
  • Strong knowledge of maintaining records
  • Experience liaising with contractors and management
